GAC Honda has announced a recall of 4,395 Acura vehicles due to potential emission risks. The company filed the recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation, citing concerns over improper fuel vapor emissions.
The recall covers 985 imported Acura TLX models manufactured between March 3, 2014, and November 2, 2015. Additionally, 3,410 domestically produced Acura TLX-L vehicles manufactured from September 5, 2017, to January 15, 2020, are included in the campaign.
The technical issue stems from a manufacturing defect where the internal seal of the fuel filler pipe may become damaged. This defect prevents the pipe from sealing properly, which can lead to excessive fuel vapor emissions.
Starting November 30, 2026, GAC Honda will provide free replacements for the fuel filler pipes on all affected vehicles. This measure is intended to eliminate the risk of non-compliant emissions.
