Mazda has updated its CX-6e SUV in China, integrating a roof-mounted LiDAR unit to enable Navigation-on-Autopilot (NOA) features. The vehicle, built on Changan’s EPA1 platform, is available in both EV and range-extender (EREV) configurations. Prices for the new LiDAR-equipped trims start at ¥145,900, which is approximately $21,700.
The new driver-assistance system supports over 200 scenarios, including highway lane changes, automated ramp navigation, and urban maneuvers like U-turns and roundabout traversal. The sensor suite includes three mmWave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 11 cameras. The system operates at speeds up to 130 km/h on highways and 80 km/h in urban environments.
The EV variant utilizes a 77.94 kWh LFP battery from CALB, providing a range of up to 600 km (CLTC). It features a 190 kW rear motor and supports 3C fast charging, reaching 30-80% capacity in 15 minutes. The EREV model pairs a 1.5-litre engine with a 31.73 kWh CATL battery, offering 200 km of electric-only range.
The interior features a 26.45-inch 5K infotainment screen and a 50-inch head-up display. With a drag coefficient of 0.258, the SUV measures 4850 mm in length. In August 2026, Mazda delivered 4,532 units of the CX-6e, which currently represents 45% of the brand's total sales volume in the Chinese market.
