Balderton Capital has appointed Luca Bocchio as a new Partner. In his new role, Bocchio will concentrate on early-stage investments, leveraging his extensive background in the European technology sector.
Bocchio joins Balderton following a tenure of over ten years in venture capital. Previously, he served as a Partner at Accel, where his investment focus spanned fintech, consumer services, AI applications, defense, and energy sectors.
Throughout his career, Bocchio has supported several major European companies, including Trade Republic, SumUp, Vinted, and Fuse Energy. Before his venture capital career, he worked as an advisor at Bain and Co. in Europe and Asia.
Managing Partner at Balderton, Bernard Liautaud, noted that the firm values Bocchio's established track record and his deep professional relationships with startup founders.
