Kia has expanded its PV5 electric van lineup to 10 distinct body configurations. The modular series now includes a 7-seater passenger version, the upscale Prime model, a cargo compact, and a chassis cab donor option. These vehicles are built on the dedicated E-GMP.S modular skateboard platform, which allows for flexible body swapping.
Since its launch in late 2025, the PV5 has become a top-selling small electric van in Europe and a popular model in Korea. In the first eight months of 2026, global sales of the PV5 exceeded 39,000 units. The vans are currently in mass production at the Hwaseong EVO Plant in South Korea, which has an annual production capacity of 200,000 units.
The company is preparing to expand its Platform Beyond Vehicle business with the upcoming PV7. This larger electric van is scheduled for official unveiling on September 14, 2026, at the IAA Transportation event in Hanover. Like the PV5, the PV7 will feature various passenger and cargo configurations, with production planned for the Hwaseong facility.
The PV7 concept measures 5,270 mm in length, 2,065 mm in width, and 2,120 mm in height, with a 3,390 mm wheelbase. For comparison, the PV5 passenger model has a length of 4,695 mm and a 2,995 mm wheelbase. Looking further ahead, Kia intends to introduce an even larger model, the PV9, which is expected to arrive around 2030.
