Cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina are preparing equipment on the International Space Station for the Teledroid experiment. This project aims to test a humanoid robot capable of remote operation.

The system functions as an avatar, allowing cosmonauts to transmit their movements to the robot. The machine is designed to operate under direct human control or perform specific tasks autonomously.

The hardware complex consists of a motion-capture operator station, a computing module, the robot itself, and an external monitoring camera. Some components arrived on the Progress MS-35 cargo ship in September.

The crew is currently installing the hardware and preparing for initial tests using a virtual model. The remaining parts of the system will be delivered to the station at a later date.

The experiment will proceed in several phases. Specialists will first test the virtual model, then move to trials inside the station, and finally conduct operations on the exterior of the ISS.
