Intel plans to expand its physical AI processor lineup with the upcoming Nova Lake and Razor Lake AX chips. According to Senior Vice President Cho Min-sung, the company aims to release the Nova Lake processor in early 2027 to support physical AI applications.
The subsequent Razor Lake AX processor is scheduled for a 2028 launch. This platform is designed to deliver a total computing power of 700 TOPS, which represents a significant performance increase compared to the 180 TOPS offered by the Panther Lake architecture.
Razor Lake AX will be Intel's first commercial SoC featuring a wide memory bus and a high-performance integrated GPU. The chip will utilize the core architecture of Nova Lake while integrating 16 or 32 Xe3P cores to enhance both graphics processing and AI inference capabilities.
