Innopolis University has developed a new educational module focused on predictive analytics and AI-driven maintenance planning for the manufacturing sector. The curriculum is designed to be integrated into existing technical degree programs at Russian universities as either a standalone course or a component of a broader discipline.

The program spans 144 academic hours, with 82 hours dedicated to practical training using industry-specific case studies and projects. Students will gain experience in processing industrial data, building failure prediction models, and utilizing AI tools for equipment monitoring and maintenance optimization.

The practical curriculum covers Python programming, machine learning libraries, SQL, and data visualization techniques. Graduates of the course are expected to be qualified for roles such as data analysts, predictive analytics engineers, and specialists in digital maintenance and repair.

The Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU) is the first institution to adopt the module. It has been incorporated into the Mechatronics and Robotics bachelor's program, with the first cohort of 14 students scheduled to begin their studies during the sixth semester of the 2026/27 academic year.
