Amsterdam-based startup Indurex has secured €7 million in a funding round led by Contrarian Ventures. The round also saw participation from Axeleo Capital and Curiosity. The company plans to use the capital to support research and development efforts and drive commercial expansion across Europe and the Middle East, with future growth planned for the US and Asia-Pacific markets.

Founded in 2025 and launched in January 2026, Indurex offers a platform called SafeGuard AI. The software monitors engineering settings, protection configurations, and safety functions within industrial plants. It targets operators in sectors including oil and gas, energy, utilities, manufacturing, and data centers. The platform integrates data from control systems, safety instrumented systems, and industrial historians.

The company's technology uses AI agents to identify anomalies and engineering deviations. It provides threat detection, automated compliance reporting, and recommended actions to help operators meet standards such as IEC 62443, IEC 61511, and IEC 61508, as well as the EU’s NIS2 directive. Gartner recognized Indurex as a Cool Vendor in its 2026 report on cyber-physical systems security.

The industrial cybersecurity market has seen significant consolidation, with major deals including Accenture’s majority stake in Dragos at a valuation of $3.25 billion and ServiceNow’s acquisition of Armis for approximately $7.75 billion. According to Accenture estimates, the operational technology security market is projected to reach $27 billion in 2026 and $59 billion by 2031.
