Honda China reported a significant decline in its monthly performance, with total vehicle sales reaching 28,652 units in October. This figure represents a year-on-year decrease of 52.2 percent for the company in the Chinese market.

To address shifting market demands, Honda has entered into strategic partnerships with Momenta and Huawei. The company plans to integrate Momenta's advanced driver-assistance systems and Huawei's Harmony cockpit into its vehicle lineup starting in 2027.

The manufacturer is also restructuring its development strategy by collaborating with Dongfeng Group and GAC Group. Honda intends to launch its first new energy vehicle featuring these joint technologies in 2027, followed by a rapid expansion of its product portfolio.

The new development model involves a three-way collaboration between Honda, its local partners, and joint ventures. Masayuki Igarashi, head of Honda's Chinese operations, emphasized that the company remains committed to the region for its electrification and intelligence initiatives.
