Honda has officially named its upcoming electric SUV the Honda Alpha. The vehicle is set to make its global debut in India on December 2, 2026. This model will serve as the first global electric SUV for the brand and will be manufactured exclusively in India for international markets.

The Alpha is based on the Honda 0 Series concept previously showcased at the Japan Mobility Show. The production version features a silhouette with a square-cut rear, as indicated by recent teaser imagery. The SUV will also be the first vehicle in the Indian market to feature the company's newly redesigned H emblem.

Toshiyuki Yanagisawa, President and Chief Executive of Honda Cars India, stated that the model represents a significant milestone in the company's electrification strategy. The decision to establish India as the primary global production base highlights the increasing importance of the region in Honda's long-term manufacturing plans.

Despite the confirmation of the name, production location, and debut date, technical specifications remain undisclosed. Honda has not yet released information regarding battery capacity, driving range, pricing, or a specific timeline for availability in markets outside of India.
