HIVE Digital Technologies, formerly a Bitcoin mining firm, is shifting its focus toward sovereign AI infrastructure. Its subsidiary, BUZZ High Performance Computing, has partnered with the Vancouver-based consultancy ProCogia to provide AI services to enterprise and small business clients across North America and Europe.
The collaboration, announced on September 16, 2026, integrates BUZZ HPC’s GPU resources with ProCogia’s software, including the ZeroBoxx framework and custom model training. Specific applications, such as the healthcare-focused CallYeah and the code migration tool PolyKode, will utilize the BUZZ HPC compute layer.
HIVE has secured a three-year contract with Bell AI Fabric valued at approximately $220 million to supply 2,304 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs to Cohere Inc. Additionally, a five-year agreement worth about $350 million is expected to generate $70 million in annual recurring revenue.
The company plans to expand its sovereign compute capacity to 850 MW by 2030. A key part of this strategy is a 320 MW AI gigafactory in the Greater Toronto Area, which is expected to house over 100,000 GPUs. The facility is scheduled to become operational in the second half of 2027.
Executive Chairman Frank Holmes noted that these efforts align with Canada’s national strategy, which includes a $50 billion initiative to expand domestic AI data center capabilities. ProCogia, which rebranded to ProCogia 2.0 in May 2026, is supporting this transition toward an AI-first model.
