Dell Technologies is evolving its infrastructure strategy to support the transition of agentic AI from experimental pilots to production-grade enterprise environments. The company is focusing on hybrid models that integrate storage, security, and data management to address the operational and governance challenges businesses face as they scale autonomous systems.

The company reported $64 billion in AI demand last year, with $34 billion recorded in the fourth quarter alone. To support this growth, Dell is leveraging its financial services arm to assist clients in funding the infrastructure required for AI deployments, while emphasizing the need for disaggregated models that allow compute and storage to scale independently.

Dell’s current product focus includes the AI Data Platform and Deskside Agentic AI, which aim to provide consistent data access and reduce reliance on external cloud services. These solutions are designed to help enterprises optimize workload placement across edge, data center, and cloud environments, aiming to control costs related to token consumption and data movement.

The company is promoting a shift away from hyperconverged infrastructure toward disaggregated architectures. According to Dell, the use of Dell Private Cloud with PowerStore Elite can achieve a six-to-one data reduction ratio and up to 65% in acquisition cost savings, providing businesses with greater flexibility in managing their AI resources.
