BAG Ventures, founded by former Google executives Bontia Stewart and Jackson Georges Jr., has closed an $11.3 million fund. The firm focuses on early-stage AI startups that provide enterprise-ready solutions rather than experimental tools. The fund has already supported 10 companies, including SXD, BizTrip, and Nomadic.
The firm invests between $100,000 and $500,000 per startup. Its investment scope covers AI infrastructure, compute, edge AI, security, governance, and vertical SaaS. The team plans to deploy the remaining capital over the next two years. The firm counts over 150 limited partners, including representatives from Google, Nvidia, Amazon, and Snowflake.
BAG Ventures prioritizes startups with established technical teams, a minimum viable product, and a clear path to monetization. The firm seeks companies that integrate into legacy workflows and capture proprietary data. Georges emphasizes that startups must avoid being mere wrappers around frontier model APIs to ensure long-term viability.
The firm also targets startups operating in highly regulated industries that require specialized data privacy and security measures. Additionally, BAG Ventures is interested in zero-trust architecture and orchestration tools designed for non-human AI agents. The founders aim to provide portfolio companies with direct introductions to potential enterprise customers.
