Geoscan has introduced two professional development programs tailored for specialists in technical inventory bureaus. The curriculum focuses on operating the Geoscan 201 and Geoscan Gemini unmanned aerial systems, alongside aerial photography and spatial data processing for cadastral assessment and property registration.
Each program consists of 40 academic hours of in-person training. Students learn to determine building geometry, analyze land use, and identify discrepancies between survey results and the Unified State Register of Real Estate. The courses allow for credit transfers for shared modules when training on both systems.
The training covers airspace regulations, pre-flight preparation, and mission planning using Geoscan Planner. Practical sessions include drone operation and flight control. Following data collection, students proceed to photogrammetric processing using Agisoft Metashape Professional to generate digital spatial materials.
The final stage of the curriculum involves evaluating the accuracy of orthophotomaps and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Upon successful completion and passing the final assessment, participants receive official certificates, with records submitted to the federal education registry.
The programs have received expert endorsements from the Yakutia BTI and Khabkraykadastr. According to Nikita Popov, head of educational services at Geoscan Moscow, the initiative integrates drone operation and data processing with specific industry tasks to build practical professional competencies.
