iCore and Sibburmash have signed a memorandum of understanding in the Republic of Tatarstan to develop open technologies for a national industrial automation platform. The agreement was signed by iCore hardware development lead Nikita Berezhansky and Sibburmash control systems lead Andrey Samkaev.

The partnership focuses on implementing open technologies across various industrial sectors. The companies plan to share results from pilot software deployments and testing to establish unified functional requirements for the platform, as well as to develop proposals for technical regulation and standardization.

iCore specializes in industrial automation for the oil and gas sector, with its developments registered in the Russian software registry. Sibburmash has over 30 years of experience in the industry, having completed more than 60 research and development projects for major industrial clients.

The collaboration aims to create trusted hardware and software complexes for critical information infrastructure. These systems will include operating systems, runtime environments, programmable logic controllers, input-output modules, human-machine interfaces, and interface converters.
