Geordie AI Ltd. has introduced Cost Intelligence, a new platform feature designed to link enterprise AI expenditures directly to specific agents and workflows. This tool expands the startup's existing risk management capabilities into financial governance, allowing organizations to track costs across cloud, code, and endpoints.
The platform provides granular visibility, enabling teams to trace spending from organizational totals down to individual users, models, or workflows. Key features include tracking caching efficiency, mapping token usage against task volume, and detecting anomalies such as agents trapped in infinite loops or utilizing unnecessarily expensive models.
The startup, which launched in September 2025, has secured $36.5 million in total venture capital funding. This includes a $30 million Series A round led by Balderton Capital in May, following a $6.5 million seed round co-led by Ten Eleven Ventures and General Catalyst Group Management.
Real-world data cited by Geordie highlights the necessity of such oversight. One retail client reportedly lost $1 million monthly by routing tasks to overly expensive models, while a bank experienced a scenario where a single agent loop consumed 50% of its monthly AI budget in one day.
