Geely Galaxy has announced that pre-sales for its first rugged off-road SUV, the Cruiser 700, will commence on September 15. The vehicle, also known as the Zhanjian 700, made its initial debut on July 24 and is expected to officially launch later this year.

The SUV is equipped with a triple-motor plug-in hybrid powertrain, delivering a combined output of 830 kW or 1,113 hp. It features a 47.14-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL, providing an electric range of 165 to 185 kilometers. Buyers can choose between 1.5-liter or 2.0-liter turbocharged engines.

Measuring 5,085 mm in length with a 2,900 mm wheelbase, the 5-seat model includes off-road features like differential locks and the proprietary GVMC system for tank turns and crab walking. The vehicle is designed to wade through water up to 800 mm deep and supports satellite connectivity.

In August, Geely Galaxy sold 119,115 vehicles, marking a 7.63% year-on-year increase and a 10.50% rise from July. Total sales for the first 8 months reached 746,705 units, reflecting a slight decline of 0.98% compared to the same period last year.
