The Toyota Hilux Rangga, known as the Hilux Champ in some markets, has been converted into a retro Land Cruiser FJ40 replica by the Indonesian shop Delima Body Repair. The project, dubbed the Rang Gruiser, was commissioned by owner Pak Wawan and debuted at the Indonesia Modification Expo.

The conversion process involved separating the ladder-frame chassis from the cabin and extending the front section. The vehicle features a custom front end with round headlights, a boxy grille, and a bumper sourced from a Jeep Wrangler. The exterior is finished in teal blue with a tan canvas cover for the rear bed.

The build retains the stock RWD configuration of the donor Hilux Rangga, which can be equipped with a 2.4-liter turbo four-cylinder engine producing 148 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The interior includes brown and black leather upholstery while keeping the original dashboard and infotainment display.

Delima Body Repair completed the transformation in 35 days. While the company did not disclose the cost of the custom work, the donor Toyota Hilux Rangga is priced between IDR 194,300,000 and IDR 309,600,000 in Indonesia.
