Geely Galaxy has launched pre-sales for its first rugged off-road SUV, the Cruiser 700, also known as the Zhanjian 700. The plug-in hybrid vehicle is available in five mainstream variants with prices starting at ¥199 800 and reaching ¥269 800. A special Land Ark edition is limited to 700 units and priced at ¥389 800.

The company reported strong initial demand, with pre-orders surpassing 10 000 units within 9 minutes and reaching 43 900 units within 60 minutes of opening. The 700 limited-edition vehicles sold out in 12 minutes. These figures reflect early interest rather than final confirmed sales.

The SUV is built on a 5-seat platform measuring 5 085 mm in length with a 2 900 mm wheelbase. Powertrain options include 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter turbocharged engines paired with 2-wheel or triple-motor 4-wheel-drive systems. The top-tier 2.0-liter variant delivers 830 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.95 seconds.

All models are equipped with a 47.14-kWh LFP battery pack provided by CATL. Depending on the configuration, the vehicle offers electric ranges of 270 km, 280 km, or 305 km. The SUV features the G-ASD H7 driver assistance system and the Flyme Auto 2 cockpit system.

Geely Galaxy aims to compete in the off-road segment against models from BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao and GWM’s Tank. The brand reported sales of 119 115 vehicles in August, marking a 7.63 percent year-on-year increase. Total sales for the first eight months of the year reached 746 705 units.
