Nordic HRtech startup Fronted has secured €1.7 million, equivalent to NOK 18 million, in a seed funding round. The investment was led by the Swedish firm Kaknäs Invest, with additional backing from Skagerak Capital, Antler, Sondo Capital, and several angel investors.

The company, established by CEO Marius Blaker Høgevold and Chairman Hans Nyvold Kjellby, provides a platform for cross-border recruitment, Employer of Record services, and entity management. Its software automates payroll calculations, tax reconciliations, and the generation of employment contracts.

Fronted plans to utilize the new capital to scale its commercial operations and expand its infrastructure to cover 70 countries. The funding will also support the continued development of the startup's AI-powered payroll engine, designed to streamline compliance across various jurisdictions.
