The startup Forus has secured $150 million in a Series C funding round, reaching a valuation of $3 billion. This figure represents a tripling of the company's worth in just four months. The round was led by Bain Capital Ventures, with participation from existing investors including Thrive Capital, General Catalyst, and Accel.

With this latest injection of capital, the total funding raised by Forus has exceeded $300 million. The company previously operated under the name Tandem and rebranded in May. The new funds are earmarked for expanding into additional medical specialties, enhancing the capabilities of its AI agents, and scaling the team.

Forus provides an AI-driven network that connects doctors, pharmacies, payers, and biopharma companies. The platform assigns an AI agent to every prescription to manage paperwork, such as prior authorizations and financial assistance applications. The service is currently available across all 50 US states.

The platform covers 85% of residential ZIP codes in the United States. According to the company, more than a third of providers in its initial specialty use the service, and nine of the world's 15 largest biopharma companies are currently partners. The system aims to reduce the time patients wait to begin complex or high-cost medical treatments.
