Ford plans to launch the Bronco Basecamp in Australia and New Zealand during the second half of 2027. The model, which debuted in China last year, is designed for outdoor enthusiasts and features a range-extended electrified powertrain.

The powertrain includes two electric motors, a 49 kWh battery, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that serves as a generator. This setup provides a combined output of 416 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque, with a total range between 800 and 900 km.

The vehicle offers a CLTC electric-only range of 220 km. For camping, the seats fold flat to accommodate an inflatable mattress, and the rear swing gate includes a 'Wild Kitchen' with a fold-down table.

The Outer Banks trim adds an electric pop-top roof for more headroom and a 7.5-liter center console that can be heated or cooled. Pro Power Onboard provides up to 6.6 kW of power for external equipment like coffee makers and lights.

Additionally, Ford announced the electric Transit City will arrive in November for AUD 50 000. The Mustang Dark Horse T8-Spec will also be available around the same time.

For commercial clients, Ford is launching Ford Pro with a new seven-year, unlimited kilometer warranty for those who use Ford dealerships for all servicing.
