Christie's is auctioning a 2024 Ferrari 499P Modificata, a track-only hypercar based on the prototype that secured consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2023 and 2024. The auction house estimates the vehicle will fetch over CHF 7,500,000, which is approximately $8,250,000.
This specific unit is in factory-new condition, having only completed its initial shakedown. The car features a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 engine paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 697 horsepower. A Push to Pass function can temporarily increase total output to 858 horsepower for up to seven seconds.
Ownership of the 499P Modificata grants access to the Sport Prototipi Clienti program, which allows owners to drive their vehicles on tracks under factory supervision. Ferrari intends to keep this car at its Maranello facilities through December 2028, in accordance with the program's operational structure.
The 499P Modificata is part of Ferrari's factory-managed, track-only lineup, which includes models like the 296 GT Modificata. These vehicles are designed exclusively for organized events rather than public road use, with the manufacturer limiting the car's speed to approximately 118 miles per hour.
