Audi has unveiled its largest SUV to date, the Q9, which measures 5.31 meters in length, 2.21 meters in width, and 1.81 meters in height, with a wheelbase of 3.14 meters. The vehicle is scheduled for release in the Chinese market in early 2027, following its initial launch in Germany where pre-orders began in late July 2026.

The German market entry-level model, the Q9 TDI, features a 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine paired with an MHEV plus mild-hybrid system, delivering 220 kW and 630 Nm of torque. It is priced starting at €108,400, with initial deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of 2026. Standard equipment includes an eight-speed automatic transmission, quattro all-wheel drive, adaptive air suspension, and rear-wheel steering.

For the Chinese market, the Q9 will be built on the PPC platform and offer a wider range of powertrains, including V6, V8, and plug-in hybrid options. The primary configuration will feature a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, producing 338 kW and 660 Nm of torque, utilizing technology shared with the Lamborghini Urus.

The interior is equipped with three displays, including a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment screen, and a passenger entertainment screen, complemented by a head-up display. The cabin offers six or seven-seat configurations, with the six-seat version featuring independent, heated, and ventilated second-row seats. The panoramic sunroof spans over 1.5 square meters and includes nine dimmable zones.
