Euclyd, a semiconductor startup founded in 2024 and based in Eindhoven, has secured over €200 million in a Series A funding round. This investment was co-led by Samsung Electronics, Somerset Capital Partners, and the EU’s Scaleup Europe Fund.
The company is developing a platform named craftwerk, which is designed for AI inference. The system-in-package architecture includes 16,384 processors with 128-way SIMD and 1 TB of ultra-bandwidth memory.
Euclyd claims its technology offers 100 times higher power efficiency compared to standard GPUs. The company plans to generate revenue through hardware sales and the licensing of its intellectual property.
Former ASML CEO Peter Wennink has joined the company as chairman of the board. The startup maintains a partnership with Samsung to support its engineering and supply chain operations.
The company targets enterprise, sovereign, and hyperscale AI markets. Initial deployments of the chip systems are scheduled for 2028, with a goal to reach thousands of enterprise clients by 2030.
