Dream, a startup focused on automating building design, has secured $17 million in seed funding. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with additional participation from SV Angel, XYZ, and Zigg Capital.

The company was founded by former Palantir executives Andy Alder and Arjun Mather. They aim to modernize the architecture, engineering, and construction industry by replacing legacy software tools.

The startup utilizes a world model trained on over 100 million square feet of building data from permit archives. This model incorporates physics and construction standards to generate precise designs.

The platform is currently being used by AEC professionals and developers for conceptualizing designs and cost estimation. It is already deployed across 10 active projects in Texas and California.
