Dream Labs, a San Francisco-based startup founded by former NVIDIA researchers in 2026, has secured $90 million in seed funding. The round was led by B Capital and Kindred Ventures, with participation from A.Capital, Unusual Ventures, SV Angel, Wing VC, Scribble VC, and Adrian Aoun.

The company introduced Dream API, which converts camera feeds and text instructions into robot motor commands. Its core model, Dream-1, is trained on video data and allows robots to perform tasks zero-shot. The service is currently priced from $3 per hour, with a lower-tier option at $0.75 per hour.

The startup focuses on low-cost hardware, typically ranging from $2,000 to $10,000, and currently collaborates with over 20 hardware partners. Dream-1 is designed for tabletop tasks like object manipulation and laundry folding, with future support planned for wheeled robots and dexterous hands.

The funding will be directed toward compute resources to expand the range of tasks and supported hardware. The company aims to reduce the time required to program robots from months to minutes. CEO Joel Jang previously led the world-model team for Project GR00T at NVIDIA's GEAR Lab.
