Delos Data Inc., a developer of hardware for artificial intelligence clusters, has secured over $100 million in a new funding round. The investment was led by Matrix, Playground, Socratic Partners, Capricorn, Matter Venture Partners, and IAG, with additional participation from angel investors in the data center hardware sector.

The startup plans to allocate the capital toward expanding its engineering team and scaling its sales operations. This funding follows the company's product debut three months ago, which introduced the Nonstop AI Server, a computing appliance designed for inference tasks that supports up to four external graphics cards.

The server utilizes the open-source OAM interconnect and OSFP routing technology to enable cluster formation. Each chip features nine OSFP ports with 1.6 terabits per second of bandwidth. Delos also launched the Nonstop AI Data Interface, a new networking chip that monitors clusters for malfunctions and automates recovery processes.

The new interface chip is available in three configurations: a PCIe card, a chiplet capable of processing over 30 terabits per second, and a near-packaged optics version with a capacity exceeding 10 terabits per second. The company claims the chip offers 10 times lower latency compared to competing products.
