Dell Technologies has expanded its cyber resilience portfolio to include identity systems, AI environments, and quantum-safe storage. The new PowerProtect software enables the restoration of compromised identity platforms, specifically supporting Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID, and Okta. This feature allows administrators to recover access controls automatically after an incident.
The company introduced Dell Managed Detection and Response for Identity to monitor authentication activity and misuse of privileges around the clock. For AI environments, Dell launched two services: Security Hardening for Dell AI Factory, which assesses configuration risks, and Resilience Operations for AI, which provides recovery plans for critical AI applications.
Updates to the PowerProtect AI Assistant include a chat interface for restores and reporting, along with daily risk briefings. Additionally, Dell PowerScale now supports automated retention-locked local snapshots, with long-term storage options via Dell ObjectScale. These updates were presented at the AI Cybersecurity and Resilience Summit.
Dell has integrated quantum-safe encryption into its PowerStore arrays for data in transit over Fibre Channel connections. This feature, when used with PowerEdge servers, aims to protect against harvest-now, decrypt-later attacks. The company also introduced a Post-Quantum Readiness Assessment to help organizations identify and prioritize cryptographic risks.
