DeepSeek has decided to extend the availability of its V4 Pro API service beyond the previously announced deadline. The company confirmed that the service will remain operational after September 14, 2026, with no changes to the existing billing structure.
Prior to this decision, the company had planned to route all V4 Pro requests to the newly released V4.1 Flash model. Under that interim arrangement, users were billed according to the V4.1 Flash pricing model.
The V4.1 Flash model, introduced on September 10, is the smallest iteration in the company's new model series. It features native multimodal visual understanding capabilities and has outperformed the V4 Pro in various benchmark tests.
