Deep tech startups are shifting from prototype development to mass manufacturing and scaling. Investors are prioritizing companies that vertically integrate operations and manage infrastructure bottlenecks, such as power, cooling, and factory capacity.

Aalo Atomics spent $100 million to develop a prototype nuclear reactor. The company is now launching a factory capable of producing 100 reactors annually, with each pod delivering 50 megawatts. Accelsius is addressing data center cooling needs with two-phase technology, targeting revenue growth of $60 million per 100 megawatts.

X-Bow Systems, which employs over 500 people, opened its first large-scale factory to produce solid rocket motors and aims for over $1 billion in annual revenue within two years. Meanwhile, CesiumAstro has expanded its pipeline to $53 billion in opportunities and acquired Jariet Technologies to secure chip supplies.

In the financial and insurance sectors, companies are leveraging AI to improve efficiency. AIVI aims for $10 million in annual recurring revenue next year, while Steadily has reached $600 million in annual premiums with 300 employees, noting a 300% increase in throughput per engineer compared to two years ago.

Marlinspike Partners is investing in dual-use defense technologies, supporting firms like Foundry Robotics and JetZero. JetZero, which holds Air Force contracts, expects to fly its blended-wing-body aircraft in the fourth quarter of 2027, projecting a 50% reduction in fuel costs.
