Dahang Yueqian has successfully completed the outflow tests for the second-stage oxygen and methane tanks of its Yueqian-1 rocket. The tests involved 16 operational scenarios and verified the performance of the anti-vortex and anti-collapse devices. The company utilized full-scale tanks and piping to simulate flight conditions, with the testing phase lasting one week.
The company has also conducted ground tests for China's first chopstick-style rocket recovery tower. It developed a proprietary controller named Little Flint for this system. Future plans include constructing a sea-based recovery platform to enable more frequent launches and flexible mission planning, aiming to advance the era of high-frequency rocket reuse.
Founded in February 2024, Dahang Yueqian focuses on developing medium-to-large reusable liquid-fueled rockets. The company is led by a team featuring academician consultants. The Yueqian-1 rocket, which utilizes the chopstick-style recovery tower, is currently scheduled for its maiden flight in 2027.
