Crusoe has entered a multiyear cloud capacity agreement with Perplexity AI. Under the terms, Crusoe will host and manage Nvidia chips dedicated to the search startup's model training and inference workloads. This arrangement allows Perplexity to outsource the operational management of its GPU clusters.
The partnership includes a reciprocal component, granting more than 1,800 Crusoe employees access to the Perplexity Enterprise Max product. Financial details, including the total contract value and specific chip volumes, were not disclosed by the companies.
This deal adds Crusoe as a third major infrastructure partner for Perplexity, alongside existing commitments with AWS and a $750 million agreement with Microsoft Azure signed in January 2026. Crusoe focuses on specialized AI infrastructure rather than general-purpose cloud services.
Crusoe recently secured a five-year AI cloud contract with Jane Street valued at approximately $13 billion. The infrastructure provider currently reports nearly 5 GW of capacity, with a development pipeline that exceeds 40 GW. The firm originally utilized stranded natural gas for Bitcoin mining.
