London-based startup Cori Clinical has secured €3.55 million in a funding round led by Breega. The company plans to utilize these funds to expand its operational capacity and grow its team, including the appointment of Dr. Emma Ogburn as Chief Clinical Officer.

Founded in 2025 by CEO Jorn Jansen Schoonhoven and CTO Patricio Fernández, the company provides an AI-powered workspace designed to streamline clinical trial planning. The platform integrates internal organizational knowledge with external regulatory data from agencies such as the FDA, MHRA, and EMA.

The software helps teams transform trial briefs into comprehensive protocols and operational plans. By identifying risks and assessing design options against historical data, the platform aims to reduce average trial set-up costs by at least 33 percent, according to the company's internal modeling.

Cori Clinical currently serves clients across the clinical development ecosystem, including two of the top five global enterprise CROs. The platform has also been utilized by the Erasmus MC academic medical center to support clinical trials in neurosurgery and neuro-oncology.
