Classiq has launched the Fault Tolerance Engine, a tool designed to convert logical quantum programs into fault-tolerant execution plans suitable for physical hardware. The system bridges the gap between high-level code and physical architecture by managing task scheduling, qubit allocation, and interaction routing.
The engine calculates specific performance parameters, including the required number of physical qubits, error correction cycles, execution time, and overall reliability. These metrics are derived from concrete execution plans rather than theoretical models, allowing developers to identify potential bottlenecks before deployment.
The new module is integrated into the existing Classiq platform and the Qmod programming language. According to CEO Nir Minerbi, the tool enables developers to assess the physical feasibility of their algorithms early in the development process, helping to manage computational costs effectively.
