CATL has entered into a strategic partnership with Blue Vector to develop custom power batteries for the SKYLA V30 aircraft. Under the agreement, CATL serves as the exclusive battery supplier for the project, with both companies aiming to advance electric aviation technology.

The SKYLA V30 is a 2.5-ton, six-seater all-electric eVTOL. It utilizes a tilt-rotor configuration, which allows for both vertical takeoff and landing alongside fixed-wing cruising efficiency. The aircraft features a range of 260 kilometers and a top speed of 320 kilometers per hour.

Blue Vector emphasizes that battery systems are critical to the weight, range, and safety of eVTOLs. The companies plan to collaborate beyond the SKYLA V30 project, focusing on technical innovation, research synergy, industry standard setting, and market expansion.
