Italian coachbuilder Castagna Milano has unveiled a design proposal to transform the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio into a bespoke two-seat convertible. The project features a redesigned front end with Y-shaped daytime running lights, extensive carbon-fiber bodywork, and an elongated hood.
The conversion involves shifting the front seats 330 millimeters back and lowering the hood by 40 millimeters. The vehicle would utilize the standard 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, paired with a longer final-drive ratio. The company targets a total vehicle weight of 1,420 kilograms.
Despite the removal of the roof and rear seats, the design provides 623 liters of luggage space. The interior is planned to feature wood trim and two types of leather. The project currently exists only as a digital proposal, requiring a private customer to commission the build.
This initiative follows the 2022 debut of the Giulia SWB Zagato, a two-door coupe also based on the Quadrifoglio platform. While Zagato focused on a fixed-roof silhouette, Castagna Milano aims to create a grand tourer, highlighting the role of independent coachbuilders in vehicle customization.
