Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna praised the design of the new Tesla Roadster, highlighting its ability to innovate within a mature automotive market. The vehicle, which features thrusters derived from SpaceX technology, is scheduled to enter production in 2028.

Market reactions to the Roadster announcement were mixed. While Tesla shares initially rose, analysts expressed caution regarding the long timeline for delivery, noting that the project has faced multiple delays over the years.

Vigna also discussed Ferrari's own transition to electric vehicles. Following the unveiling of the brand's first electric model, Luce, in May, Ferrari shares experienced a decline on the Milan stock market.

The Ferrari CEO emphasized the importance of external collaboration in the development of the Luce model. He stated that outside perspectives were crucial in helping the company address complex challenges during the design process.

During a conference hosted by the Italian automotive magazine Quattroruote, Vigna gave the Tesla Roadster presentation a perfect score of 10 out of 10. He noted that the industry still holds significant potential for bold innovation.
