ByteDance's Volcano Engine has officially launched Seedance 2.5 4K, an advanced model specifically trained for high-quality video generation. The new version focuses on enhancing facial expressions, subtle movements, and overall image detail, positioning it as the most capable model within the Seedance 2.5 series.
The model introduces a Draft mode, allowing users to generate 480P previews to refine storyboards and camera angles before committing to a full 4K render. This approach is designed to optimize costs during the creative process while ensuring high-end visual output for the final product.
Technical improvements include 10-bit color depth, which provides smoother gradients and richer color layers suitable for large-screen displays. The model also maintains high consistency in image quality, sharpness, and color accuracy when processing reference materials or performing video edits.
Currently, Seedance 2.5 4K is available only to select enterprise clients for testing, with plans to expand access in the future. The original Seedance 2.5 model was first unveiled by ByteDance on June 23, with commercial API access becoming available on August 7.
