BYD has initiated an OTA update for the Yangwang U8, covering the 2023 Luxury Edition, 2024 Off-road Player Edition, and 2026 Luxury Edition. The update introduces a customizable Sentry Mode, allowing users to schedule activation times and set trusted locations where the system remains inactive to conserve battery. Users can also set a minimum battery threshold for automatic deactivation.

The update brings official Apple CarPlay support, featuring a split-screen interface that allows navigation, music, and messaging apps to run alongside native vehicle functions. Additionally, the Yisifang system now includes 2D and 3D interface memory, while the infotainment desktop gains a customizable clock widget. New audio features include a smart sound field focus mode that adjusts based on passenger seating positions.

Safety enhancements include voice alerts for unclosed doors or trunks during remote parking and vibration warnings via seatbelts if the driver releases the steering wheel during assisted driving. A curve speed warning system has also been added. The update further optimizes the Yun辇 3D vehicle model, adds 3D charging animations, and introduces new seat memory and voice control settings for the 2026 Luxury Edition.
