BYD has released a branded cat bed designed to resemble its megawatt Flash Charging stations. The product, which features a T-shaped exterior and a cyan-black color scheme, is priced at $13. The company launched the item in late September through the Fang Cheng Bao owner app, where it sold out immediately.
The bed is constructed from polyester and faux rabbit hair, measuring 400 mm in width at the base, 490 mm at the top, and 420 mm in height. BYD recommends the product for pets weighing up to 7.5 kg. While the company has not announced a restock date, some dealers are now offering the bed as a promotional gift to prospective vehicle buyers.
This merchandise launch coincides with the expansion of BYD's real-world charging infrastructure. The company reached 10 000 stations in late August and plans to install an additional 10 000 by the end of 2026. These stations are designed to support both battery electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, offering a 10-97% charge in 9 minutes.
