The BYD Denza B8 plug-in hybrid SUV features the DiSus-P Ultra hydraulic suspension system. This technology allows the vehicle to independently adjust the ride height and damping at each wheel. The system can raise or lower each corner of the car by up to 300 mm and supports a lifting capacity of up to nine metric tons.
Recent footage from Chinese social media shows a Denza B8 driving on three wheels with a traffic clamp attached to the raised front-left wheel. BYD has previously demonstrated the vehicle's ability to drive on three wheels at speeds reaching 15 km/h. The suspension also enables the car to lift a wheel for tire changes without a traditional jack.
The Denza Bao 8 Flash Charge Edition is equipped with a 46.7 kWh battery, providing an all-electric range of up to 75 miles on the CLTC cycle. The powertrain includes a 2.0-liter, 272 hp turbocharged internal combustion engine. This configuration allows for a combined range of 1,380 kilometers.
