BYD and energy provider Iberdrola have launched a joint electric mobility package in Spain called Plan Recarga Inteligente. The offer includes a wallbox, a specialized electricity tariff, and discounts for both home and public charging for buyers of BYD electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Customers receive a wallbox with subsidized installation, paying half the market price, which results in savings of €969. The electricity tariff is set at €0.25 per kWh including taxes. Additionally, users get a discount on their home electricity contract equivalent to the energy needed for 10,000 kilometers of driving annually over a three-year period.

For public charging, the package offers a 50 percent discount for six months at selected locations within the Iberdrola España network. This is followed by a 12-month free membership in the Plan Recarga Plus program, valued at €9.99 per month, which provides a 20 percent discount on charging sessions.

Iberdrola España operates a public charging network with more than 12,000 active charging points. This initiative follows similar partnerships established by BYD with E.ON in Germany and Octopus Energy in the UK, though the Spanish and German offers do not currently include bidirectional charging features.
