The charging provider Roam has signed an agreement to deploy its infrastructure across 14 hotels in the United Kingdom operated by ProsperCap. The installation process for the new charging network commenced in September.
The project involves the deployment of 170 charging sockets in total. This includes 158 units with a capacity of 22 kilowatts intended for overnight guests, and 12 units with a capacity of 50 kilowatts for visitors requiring faster charging.
Roam is implementing its fully funded model for this project. This approach allows the hotel chain to integrate the necessary charging equipment without the requirement for significant upfront capital expenditure.
According to the companies, the electricity supplied to these charging stations is sourced through renewable energy contracts. This initiative aims to support the growing number of guests traveling in electric vehicles.
