SAIC Motor has officially announced the rollout of the OS2.1 update for three Buick Zhijing models. The update introduces native support for three major mobile connectivity ecosystems: Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, and ICCOA Carlink.
The integration process for Huawei HiCar requires users to pair their phone via Bluetooth and then select the HiCar icon on the vehicle's central control screen. Users must confirm the connection by entering a verification code displayed on the dashboard.
For Apple CarPlay, the setup involves pairing the iPhone through the vehicle's Bluetooth settings and confirming the connection on both the mobile device and the car's display. Users are also required to accept the terms of service during the initial configuration.
The ICCOA Carlink connection follows a similar procedure, requiring an initial Bluetooth pairing followed by selecting the dedicated icon in the vehicle's application center. The process is finalized by entering the verification code on the smartphone.
