The new Hongqi H9 sedan features a standard closed-loop air suspension system paired with iDCS variable damping shock absorbers. The chassis is constructed from aluminum and utilizes a front double-wishbone and rear trapezoidal arm independent suspension setup. The system includes a road preview function that utilizes cameras and LiDAR to detect road conditions every 10 milliseconds.

The air suspension system offers a 65mm adjustment range with a speed of 5mm/s. The iDCS system provides millisecond-level dynamic damping adjustments to mitigate high-frequency vibrations. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a rear-wheel steering system capable of a 16-degree bidirectional adjustment to improve maneuverability.

The sedan integrates Huawei's Qiankun ADS 5.0 intelligent driving system and the HarmonySpace intelligent cockpit. Its sensor suite includes an 896-line LiDAR and 40 high-sensitivity sensors. The vehicle is capable of identifying 14cm obstacles at a distance of 120 meters while traveling at 120 km/h.

Design elements of the new Hongqi H9 are inspired by traditional Chinese palace architecture, featuring a waterfall-style grille and U-shaped lighting. The vehicle also includes high-brightness pixel headlights, a smart light carpet, and specialized comfort-oriented tires designed for energy efficiency.
