Huawei has initiated the rollout of the October 2026 EMUI security update for its Pura 80 and Pura 70 smartphone series. The patch addresses vulnerabilities within the operating system and third-party software libraries, alongside general system stability improvements.
The update resolves two high-level and 14 medium-level vulnerabilities in the system. Additionally, it fixes 52 defects in third-party libraries, nine of which are classified as critical. The rollout is being conducted in stages, meaning availability varies by region and device model.
For the Huawei Pura 80 Pro, the firmware version is EMUI 15.0.0.187 with a file size of 363 MB. The base Pura 70 model receives version EMUI 14.2.0.248, which occupies 326 MB of storage. Users can manually check for the update via the system settings menu.
