Tencent Maps unveiled its comprehensive Agent capability framework at the 2026 Tencent Global Digital Ecosystem Conference in Shenzhen. The company is now opening these mapping tools to industry clients, smart hardware manufacturers, and developers.
Current integrations include Tencent Yuanbao, WeChat Xiaowei, OPPO Breeno, Rokid AI glasses, and LightSail AI wearables. These services allow users to perform tasks like route planning, ride-hailing, and location discovery through simple voice commands.
In the automotive sector, Tencent introduced a multi-agent system for vehicles that handles trip planning, map rendering, and real-time traffic analysis. The company also partnered with HarmonyOS to enable cross-device navigation, including a dedicated solution for NIU electric scooters.
Tencent collaborated with OPPO on a system-level travel agent for ColorOS. Following its launch, the service reduced travel planning steps to a single command, doubling click-through rates and increasing user retention by 1.5 times.
Developers can now access these features via WorkBuddy, MCP Server, and various connectors to integrate mapping intelligence into their own applications. Additionally, Tencent launched LBSwork, a desktop AI workbench designed for retail, travel, and tourism industries.
