Startup Bolt Graphics has completed the debugging process for its Zeus architecture test chip. This milestone serves as a foundation for the company's roadmap toward a commercial product launch scheduled for 2028.

The Zeus architecture incorporates dedicated electromagnetic simulation hardware. It is designed to accelerate path tracing graphics workloads and is suitable for complex computational tasks, including physical AI.

The company utilized TSMC's 12nm process for the small-scale test chip, which measures 6mm². The A0 stepping chip showed no functional issues and operated at a power consumption level of 1.4W.

For its commercial GPU, Bolt plans to transition to TSMC's N5P process. The company intends to grant developer access in the first quarter of 2027, followed by initial shipments to early access customers by the end of that year.

Full-scale production of PCIe AIC and server units is set to begin in 2028, with a broad market release following later that same year.
