Bolt Graphics has completed the debugging phase for its Zeus-based test chip. This milestone marks the initial step toward the planned commercial launch of the company's new GPU architecture in 2028.
The current test chip, manufactured using the TSMC 12nm process, occupies a total area of 6 square millimeters. During the A0 step-back verification, the company confirmed that the chip functions without any reported issues.
Future commercial processors from Bolt will utilize the TSMC N5P process. The company has outlined a roadmap that includes developer access in the first quarter of 2027 and early access shipments by the end of that year.
Mass production of PCIe AIC cards and server units is scheduled for 2028, coinciding with the full-scale product launch. The architecture is designed to handle electromagnetic simulation and ray tracing tasks, targeting AI applications.
